archived Shift at the Muslim World Mohammed Ahmed Hijazi requesting to change his religion from Islam to Christianity in all official papers

After the Mufti declaration that the Muslim has the right to change his religion, is it possible that the Muslim converts will start revealing themselves freely in the Middle East? Let us read this story:-

Mohammed Ahmed Hijazi an Egyptian citizen who has recently gone to the civil court to present an unprecedented case by which he is requesting to change his religion from Islam to Christianity in all official papers.

Mohammed ensured that he converted to Christianity 9 years ago but he couldn’t do the same with his official papers. Hijazi who is 25 years old said: I have become Christian since I was 16, then I married from a Muslim lady who also converted to Christianity. Although we had to marry like Muslims because of our official papers, we still went to the church and got married there according to our believes. Hijazi added: currently my wife is pregnant and we hope to register our future kid as “Christian” in his birth certificate.

On the other hand, Mamdouh Nakhla the plaintiff’s attorney has confirmed that Hijazi’s case is the first of its kind before the Egyptian judicial system. He also indicated that the civil court will look at the case once the judges return from their summer vacation by September 1st. Nakhla, who was interviewed by “Al-Masri Al-Yawn” newspaper said: I will rely on the Fatwa “religious opinion” by Doctor Ali Jumaa who is the country’s highest Islamic authority “Mufti”. Nakhla said: the Mufti has permitted the Muslim to change his religion is he/she wishes to because religion is a matter between oneself and the creator. According to Mamdouh the Mufti said that God has granted for everyone to choose his own religion without and coercion or external pressure. So, I will make use of fatwa as it serves our case, Mamdouh said. Also, I will make use of similar prior cases of Christians converting to Islam and then back to Christianity. Moreover, we will stick to the Human Rights Agreement and to amendment 46 from the constitution that grants freedom of religion.

Nakhla has emphasized that Hijazi’s problem is not a personal issue. There are thousands of converts in Egypt. The problem lies in the fact that there is no accurate census of the true number of converts neither in the church nor in the official books. Also, he ensured that changing ones religion requires a lot of courage. The person who changes his religion will have to challenge some deeply grounded and firm believes in his community without mentioning the threat he may face by the fundamentalist.

This is a very important SHIFT at the Muslim world & the whole body of Christ needs to pray for the Governments to approve the changing of “Religion” for any Converted Muslim & give them the permission to change that at their legal papers to ‘CHRISTIAN CETEZEN” without any treating for their lives

Since 2003, Dr. Ali Gomaa has served as the Grand Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt, a position of religious authority second only to the Sheikh al-Azhar. As one of Islam’s most respected scholars of Islamic law, Dr. Ali Gomaa oversees Dar al-Ifta, Egypt’s highest body for delivering opinions on religious law

Please Pray for Dr. Ali Gomaa for his life and that the Lord will open his eyes to see the Truth in Jesus Christ.
