Did Kuwait Prince become a Christian?

ku_coat_of_arms_narrow300What do you think? Is it true? Did Prince Abdullah al-Sabah become a Christian?

According to reports, Kuwaiti royal prince has become a follower of Jesus Christ. In an audio file posted with his name, he affirms that if he is killed because of a recording he made where he talks about his conversion, he firmly believes that he will meet Jesus Christ face-to-face.

The news comes from Middle Eastern sources which state that al-Haqiqa – a Christian satellite TV channel in Arabic that transmits Christian religious programmes – broadcast an audio file attributed to the Kuwaiti prince, identified as Abdullah al-Sabah. The al-Sabahs are the royal family of Kuwait, a country rich in oil. The name Abdullah (servant of God) frequently appears in the Emir’s family tree.

In his audio file, Abdullah declared: “First of all, I fully agree with the distribution of this audio file and I now declare that if they kill me because of it, then I will appear before Jesus Christ and be with him for all eternity.” In this statement, the prince demonstrates his awareness of the fate in store for a martyr of the faith, according to Christian doctrine.

Mohabat News, a Christian Iranian website which has been following the fate of Christian minorities in the Middle East closely and which has monitored Abdullah’s statement, confirms that this news was published briefly by Arabic news agencies and also by the Iranian state news agency.

Although other reports say this is a hoax and that “no one by that name is in the Kuwaiti royal family”. However, it could be that Abdullah al-Sabah is a pseudonym taken on by a real convert to hide his true identity.

Whatever the case, since we are praying for Kuwait, it is certain that royalty as well as citizens will receive the Good News of the Kingdom of God. I certainly would only be surprised if some did not. Let us continue to pray for the royal family of Kuwait!

Have your say, leave a comment about it!

PS. I saw this originally on Facebook with a link to the Vatican Insider (January 16, 2012), Marco Tosatti report, “Kuwait: The prince’s mysterious conversion”.

The sense of tradition, respect and honor that exists at most military boarding schools is prominent, and the values that these schools can instill into boys as they grow into young men is essential in character development and growing up.

  2. Is this the princes that you say that has left islam to be a christian? Well I don’t think that’s him, I mean the guy in this picture… Because this guy is not even from kuwait. Yes he’s a guy from the gulf, but not a kuwait national. The clothing is almost the same but there is a difference. The outfit that he is wearing not what is on his head but the yes the outfit he is wearing its what an united arab emerates (uae, dubai) would wear. I’m a muslim and I’m not against christians, infact most of my friends are christians. So please next if you like to post something like this pls get your facts straight, and for your info, there is no such thing that ” a kuwaiti prince has left islam to be a christian”. This is a rumore made by christian arabs. Hahahaha did you know that most arab christians hate arab muslims more then western christian. Ya thought you should know that. So no sorry OUR prince has not left islam and he won’t! Oh I have more to say, these fools who have said that they left islam to be a christian is not even true, these are fakers, hahhaaaha or the get paid just t say this. So they stay muslim and take the money. Again I will say this I’m not agaist christians, I respect them I will always repect them. Thank you for who ever read this I really thank you, but pls read the right facts about islam, not from these fakers, it wouldn’t hurt if you did read about islam, I infact do read about christians and I recpect what they and don’t believe in. At the end of the day we all believe in god.

islam& muslim condition others to join their fate. islam is not just a religion but a system of govt. that is why non muslim will always suffer where muslims are majority because quran kills other religion and muslim will kill to implement quran because Mohammed kill and behead people starting from the mecca indigene and his disciples kill, drafted sharia and behead people to spread the religion. Jesus did not bring a religion, not kill to spread Gods world, rather he said “let everyone live together, at the end God seperate good & evil after or at the end of the world” also he said ” do not do to others what you dont want people to do to you” he also said “joining the faith is by love(convintion) not by force.
