Jesus Prayer:

Let us pray that the father will gather the body of Christ in Kuwait to ONE as Jesus and the father to do the works of the ministry in Unity & harmony.

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

Before the spread of Islam in the seventh century, Eastern Arabia and the Gulf region was truly at the crossroads of religious belief. The population consisted of nomadic tribes that were Jewish, Christian, Zoroastrian or pagan, influenced by the variety of religious beliefs found in Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Persia. The prominence of these faiths, however, dwindled when the majority of the Arab tribes embraced Islam by force. By the late seventeenth century, the Bani Khalid tribe had gained control over Eastern Arabia, and in building the first city that lies in present day Kuwait,
began to establish the permanence that Islam has maintained in the area until today.

religious freedom :

Islam is the state religion; although the Constitution provides for freedom of religion, the Government places some limits on this right. The Constitution also provides that the State protect the freedom to practice religion in accordance with established customs, “provided that it does not conflict with public policy or morals.” The Constitution states that Shari’a (Islamic law) is “a main source of legislation.”

Christians and other religious minorities enjoy an unusual amount of religious freedom. Kuwait truly exemplifies the words of its constitution, which states that “freedom of belief is absolute,” and that “the State protects the freedom of practicing religion in accordance with established customs, provided that it does not conflict with public policy or morals.” The Christian community’s history in Kuwait began in the early 1900′s with a number of humanitarian projects conducted by missionaries from the Reformed Church of America. Most notable among them was the establishment of a hospital (“the American Hospital” is still fondly remembered by older Kuwaitis).

In 1931, the first church in Kuwait was built on a parcel of land granted to the hospital, where the National Evangelical Church stands today.Also many Bookshops were selling the bible and many Kuwaiti Families were buying it.but Suddenly ,without known resoans, the Government stops selling the bible in 1951 at the street corners and the book stores .

the oil boom had attracted many foreigners to Kuwait, thereby expanding the Christian community, and two more churches were constructed, one of them Roman Catholic. Today, the state authorities officially recognize three principal churches: the National Evangelical Church of Kuwait (Protestant), the Roman Catholic Church, and the Roman Orthodox Church. Smaller churches generally ally themselves with one of these larger “umbrella” churches.

Kuwaiti Christians Families:

There are some 350 Kuwaiti Christians by birth today, most of whom belong to 12 large families ,A landmark occurrence for Kuwait’s Evangelical community was the ordination of a Kuwaiti citizen as priest and pastor of National Evangelical Church on January 8, 1999. Emmanuel Benjamin Gharib, born in Kuwait in 1950 and educated in Egypt, is the first Gulf Arab to become head of any Protestant church. “We all feel proud of being Kuwaitis,” he declared. “We were among those who stayed here during the Iraqi occupation.” Gharib told the Kuwaiti press that he planned to initiate Muslim-Christian dialogues in order “to show love for our home which has nearly 200 Christian citizens.” The Evangelical Church embraces more than 40 Evangelical denominations and is frequented by a diverse community of about 16,000 worshippers throughout the week.

Churches in Kuwait:

Most of the Christian faithful come from the expatriate population in the State of Kuwait. The number of Christians presently in Kuwait after 55 years since its modest beginnings is roughly 400,000.:

-The Catholic Vicariate is largely made up of Asians from India, the Philipines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Arab Christians from Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and Syria which make up roughly 75,000 members (Maronite Christians also worship at the Catholic cathedral in Kuwait city).

-The Anglican (Episcopalian) Church, has around 115 members (several thousand other Christians use the Anglican Church for worship services).

-The National Evangelical Church (Protestant), with 3 main congregations (Arabic, English, and Malayalee) has around 16,000 members (several other Christian denominations also worship at the National Evangelical Church Compound).

-The Greek Orthodox Church (referred to locally as the “Roman Orthodox” Church), has 3,500 members

-The Armenian Orthodox Church, has 4,000 members.

-The Coptic Orthodox Church, has 60,000 members.

-The Greek Catholic (Eastern Rite) Church membership totals are unavailable

There are other Christian denominations in the country, with tens of thousands of members. These denominations include Seventh-Day Adventists, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons), Marthoma, and the Indian Orthodox Syrian Church

Prayer Points:
1- Christian Book Stores
Pray that the Holy Spirit to reveal the reasons for closing those book
stores in Kuwait at 1951.Pray that the Lord will open the door again
and allow opening a new book stores, that sells the Bible in Kuwait
Major Malls not only inside the Churches.
2- Kuwaiti Nationality:
in 1981 the Islamic Party managed to make a law that gives the
Kuwaiti Nationality only for Muslims. pray that this law will be
Cancelled and Christian believers can get the Kuwaiti Nationality.
3- Immigrations Laws /Sponsors
By law , you could not stay in Kuwait without a Kuwaiti sponsor,
who controls you in the country and able to cancel your residency
at any time he wants. We believe that this is a slavery spirit which
controls the expatriates. Pray for breaking this spirit and changing
the immigrations laws .

4- Religious freedom
Pray for new laws that gives people the freedom to choose their religion
5- Christian Families in Kuwait
Pray for Salvation to those Kuwaitis, not only to be believers but
also Ambassadors for the Lord and Claims Kuwait for Jesus.
6- Pastor Emmanuel Gharib
Pray for Pastor Emmanuel to be a channel of blessings to the other
Kuwaitis Christian and non-Christians .Pray for Grace & Favour for
him to ask for new laws that support Christians & Religion freedom
in Kuwait.
7- Christians expatriates Believers
Due to the minority of Christians in Islamic country like Kuwait,
and the Sponsoring issue , the Christian could not witness their Faith
Freely. Pray for new mentality for Christian believers that enable
them to witness in their works and among their Muslim friends. Break
the spirit of FEAR over their hearts
8- New churches buildings.
Pray for the Government to give Lands to build new Churches.
9- Pastors of the churches
Pray for Unity among the pastors of Churches in Kuwait,
to have one heart to pray for the Peace to this nation

We care for the reputation of Kuwait, we love Kuwait, and we pray for the peace of the nation, we bless the Al Sobah family. We support the government and pray for wisdom to the parliament members. That is why we want to see Kuwait as a blameless nation.

The ministry of social affairs is doing a TREMENDOUS job going after the sponsors who are misusing the law.

Pray for Kuwait.com is calling the world believers to join in a prayer call for freedom from that modern slavery; it is not in Kuwait only but in the whole Gulf area of the Middle East.

Bahrain started to fight against slavery / sponsorship laws and we pray that the rest of the countries will follow.

In Kuwait, you could not do business without a Kuwaiti Sponsor, you could not own land or your house, even if you have a car accident and you go to the police station, you need a Kuwait to Sponsor you in order to be released from the police station.

If you are not happy with your work and you want to leave, you could not leave the country unless your Sponsor releases you – your Sponsor has the ability to ban you from traveling. In some organizations they keep your passport at the office in order to control you.

Being a non Kuwaiti in a country like Kuwait, makes life is hard…

The government is not accepting the bad behavior of the sponsors, but as long as the law is there, people are using it is a bad way.

After the case of the pastor who was about to be kicked out of the country in Feb. 2009, many cases happened and a red alarm start to blink. If we will not take it seriously, and seek the Lord for it, NOTHING will change.

We believe when this law will change, the freedom that will come to the nation will bring this nation to the destiny God wants in it.

We are calling for 1460 PRAYER WARRIERS to pray day and night for this law to be broken , 4 warriers every day for one year , starting 1st. Jan. 2010 till 31st. of Dec. 2010. And we believe that God hears prayer.

Praise Points:

We prayed for most of the points below during the last year or so, but the interesting facts in the reports linked above is that they touch the exact points we prayed for on many occasions, such as points 4, 6 and 7! Praise the Lord!!

1- The Spirit of the Lord spoke over Kuwait to be he first nation at Gulf to have religious freedom.
Please pray that these kinds of reports encourage His Highness the Amir to declair the religion freedom.

2- Pray for the approval of Christain schools in Kuwait.

3- Pray that the lot of citizinship be changed and new laws passed to give anyone the right to Kuwaiti citizenship, not only for Muslims.

4- We prayed before for legal permission for Christain schools and to allow the building of new churches. As the reports indicate, some progress is happening. Keep praying!

5- Pray for the freedom to evanglize out side the walls of the church.

6- We prayed before for Christian bookstores to get permission to open shops in Kuwait; the report urges the government to give permision for those bookshops.

7- Pray for the influence of the IPC (Islamic Presentation Committee) which, by law, are allowed to convert non-moslims to Islam, without giving the churches the right to reach out to Muslims and talk about Christ.

Friends, this is amazing testimony to how our specific prayers have been specifically answered and will continue to be answered as we continue to pray for Kuwait.

God is in control no matter what man says or does…

The SPONSORSHIP law is affecting everyone in Kuwait. It even touches the pastors of the church in Kuwait. One pastor is being pushed to leave the country due to this law! (His sponsor does not want to renew his residency.)

The body of Christ is crying out to God to change this law and see this nation cleansed. Our prayer:

May God protect Kuwait, the Al Sobah family and all Kuwaitis and non-Kuwaitis from any harm. May God bless His peace to continue over this land forever. Amen

Points to reflect on in prayer:

1- KEEP praying for the cancellation of the SPONSORSHIP law.

2- Pray for the sponsor of Pastors to have wisdom and to obey God rather than man.

3- Ask God to do his will when Pastors are being pushed out. Should they leave or stay? Is it God’s time for anyone to leave? Lord, Your will be done! You open or close doors and show if it is your will and timing to leave Kuwait.

4- Ask God to speak to the hearts of those who are threatened to leave, to listen and understand what God wants of them at this time. In other words, pray that they obey God’s voice at this time, not man’s voice.

5- Pray for the Church leaders and people to open their eyes and see God behind the situation and understand the voice of God.

6- Pray for protection to pastor’s families and boldness.

7- Pray the Word of God, specifically the ISSACHAR ANOINTING 1Chronicals 12:32.

8- Pray for God’s healing and for the church to do the God’s ministry in and of peace.

9- Pray that the church will align with God’s will no matter what is the price the Church should pay. Pray also for leaders to be aligned with God’s dream for this nation and open their heart to discern and know whom they should align themselves with. This year, alignment will define the years that follow.

10- A word for the wise: “Do not stop half way. God is leading you to a goal. Even my detours are paths of glory for you. Ask me, and I will answer you. Ask me before you take decisions. Begin to live according to my revelations. Pay attention to your dreams. Actualize them. I will furnish you with new strength, courage and boldness. Be convinced in everything you do. Ensure that you have my confirmation in every step you take. My Spirit will bear yours witness. Do nothing without my Holy Spirit. Wait constantly on my leading. I will direct your steps.’

The bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:20:

“Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.”

As the prophet Chuck Pierce (which this site is aligned with him) visited Kuwait in 2008, and the Lord spoke a word through him, we need to believe it to prosper.

Below are some prayer points based on the understanding of the prophetic word given in Oct. 2008:

1 – God will raise new Spiritual leaders:

• Leaders who are free to do the works of the ministry, without the fear of man.
• Leaders who are ready to pay the price of seeing God changing and transforming this nation.
• Leaders of a new wine skin ready for the new wine.

2 – 5 years window:

** Oct. 2008 – Oct. 2010: “Victory Realm”

• Let the victory rest upon us in our families, ministries & finances.
• Pray that God will open our eyes to see victory happen in our lives, and give us wisdom to use the blessings we have to see his kingdom expand.
• Grace all over the body of Christ.
• God will give a great favor with the key leaders of the nation. Pray that God will give the right words for the right people at the right time.
• Transformation of KWT will be through transforming key leaders / families.

**Oct. 2010 – Oct. 2013: “Gathering season”

• Pray that God will gather the sons of Ishmeal who believes in Jesus together to pray for birthing the church of Kuwait.

3 – Prayer Season : After Oct. 2013

• God will lift the grace of the 5 years window and the ministry in this nation will take another shape. And will require a new ability.
• God will use the developed prayer worriers, especially the youth and the Marketplace ministries.
• The harvest will come forth in Kuwait and the other nations

4 – Kuwait will be a “WOMB“

• Kuwait is a light house and a gate way to the other nations and God is using Kuwait to guide the other nations to see his Glory.
• God will use Kuwait as a womb to bring forth the harvest of the nations.
• God will create a “harvest prayer in the midst of the body of Christ“

“Let us pray to see Nations come forth & Birthed“ Amen.

The Spirit of the Lord Said:

“God is going to start a mighty move of the Holy Spirit from Kuwait. Kuwait is the staging area of a great move of God that will affect the whole Middle East. The women of God are going to be used in unique way to reach others for the gospel. There will be a whole movement of women “Deborah’s” that God will use to turn their whole families to the Lord.

The church in Kuwait has an Antioch anointing and will be used as a teaching center for the gospel. Many prophets will be raised up who will be sent out throughout Iraq, Iran, and Syria. There will be unique relationships that will be built covenantly through out the Middle East. The men will rise up as powerful warriors in the spirit and a whole men´s prayer movement will spring forth.

God is doing a new thing such as the world has never seen. The Lord has caused this part of the world to be called the Middle East because its anointing is to be peacemakers. The enemy is trying to hurt the reputation of this area, but God will arise as the Captain of the Lord of Hosts and change the whole region as the power of the Holy Spirit sweeps through with signs and wonders. ”

Kuwait at the heart of the Lord is light house to the Gulf (where Islam started) and a gate way to the ME.

Kuwait is the Stepping Stone that the Lord is using to spread the Good News for the Region.(see the Map & how God Kept Kuwait , a very small county , between Saudi Arabia , Iran & Iran. God will Penetrate those nations and the whole region with his Glory , when Kuwait shine with the Lord’s Glory.

Like Bethlehem to the Jews & the Gentile ..Kuwait for the Muslim world.. out of Kuwait will come the light to Change the Muslim world.

“Unlocking Kuwait to the Gospel will unlock the whole region.”

Luke 2:1-7

” 1 ¶ And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

This had been prophesied many many years earlier by prophet Micah, many times the perfect will of God, which is high above man’s will, cannot be accomplished without a certain ruler in place.

Until Caesar Augustus came in place, Quirinius could not reorder the steps of those under his rule, thereby positioning & fulfilling God’s will for Bethlehem & the redemptive plan of the world.

Therefore, with each political change, we must watch carefully for God’s ultimate plan to be revealed.

For years , the Lord spoken over Kuwait to be the lighthouse for the Gulf and a gateway to the Middle east.

Moreover , Kuwait for the Muslim world is like Bethlehem for the world , out of Kuwait will come the light and salvation for the Muslim world.

This had been prophesied many many years earlier by many prophets. but still not come to pass & we were wondering why many many governments changed recently in Kuwait with different parliament members. But the Lord revealed for us that he is preparing “as his own heart government ” that will unlock this nation to fulfill God’s will & could reorder the steps of those under Al Sobah Rules, thereby positioning & fulfilling God’s will for Kuwait & the redemptive plan of the Muslim world.

14 former MPs bow out of election race – 195 male, 16 female candidates left in the fray , as the door is closed today for any candidates withdrawal.

We pray that in elections the new government to be the one God is forming to accomplish the redemptive purpose of this nation.

كم نحن عنصريون، خمسون عاما وهم يعملون معنا ويشاركوننا بناء بلدنا ولم نقل لهم شكرا، نصف قرن أفنى غالبيتهم زهرة شبابه يعمل ويذهب صباحا إلى عمله الذي يعود في النهاية نفعه أيا كان حجمه في دائرة تنمية البلد، تزوجوا هنا وأنجبوا أولادهم هنا، حتى أن أولادهم اعتقدوا أو يتملكهم اعتقاد أنهم كويتيون، وهم فعلا كويتيون بالمولد، لم نكن لنقفز هذه القفزات الكبيرة خلال خمسين عاما لولا أنهم جاءوا إلى بلدنا وشاركونا البناء والتعمير والتأسيس.

خمسون عاما وهم في جميع القطاعات الحكومية والخاصة، مهندسون وأطباء وصيادلة ومحامون وعمال وميكانيكيون وأساتذة جامعة ومدرسون وطباعون وبناءون ومقاولون وبائعو فاكهة وخضار وملابس وفنيون واستشاريون بل وحتى «طقاقات» وبائعات في سوق «واجف».

خمسون عاما عانوا مما عانيناه وربما أكثر، فعندما استيقظت الحكومة يوما وأرادت أن تعدل التركيبة السكانية لم تضرب على أيدي تجار الإقامات ولكنها توجهت إلى الوافدين ووضعت قيودا وشروطا عليهم وعلى اقاماتهم ووضعت التأمين الصحي على أدمغتهم «ذلك التأمين الذي لا يسمن ولا يغني من جوع»، فلكي يعيش أحدهم مع زوجته وثلاثة من أطفاله عليه أن يتحمل تأمينهم الصحي وتكاليف إقامتهم بمبلغ يفوق الحد الأدنى لراتبه رغم أنه لا توجد حدود دنيا للرواتب في الكويت ولم تحدد يوما، وكأن الحكومة عندما أرادت أن تكحل التركيبة السكانية أعمت عيون الوافدين، كانوا ولا يزالون الحلقة الأضعف والطريق الأسهل لأي قرار أرادت به الحكومة تعديل أخطاء تجار الإقامات من المواطنين الذين يتحملون المسؤولية الكاملة عن كل أخطاء التركيبة السكانية منذ عام 1980 وحتى اليوم.

بدلا من أن تضرب الحكومة على أيدي تجار الإقامات، ضربت الوافدين بقرارات جعلت البلد أقرب إلى بلد من المغتربين العزاب.

50 عاما والوافدون يأتون ويرحلون، يبنون ويعمرون ويشاركوننا العمل والبنيان، ولم تتكون لدى العامة من المواطنين فكرة سوى أن هؤلاء الوافدين جاءوا بحثا عن الدينار وكأن المواطن ملاك منزّل لا يأكل ولا يشرب ولا يبحث عن الدينار «ألم نقم الدنيا ونقعدها وحُل مجلس أمتنا الماضي بسبب 50 دينارا؟».

في نظرة أخرى للوافدين نقول عنهم «جاءوا ليشاركوننا لقمة عيشنا ويأخذوا وظائفنا»، رغم أن دستورنا كفل لنا التعليم والصحة والتوظيف وهم «يا بخت» من يجد منهم وظيفة بالكاد تسد رمقه حتى آخر الشهر.

50 عاما واستكثرنا خلالها حتى أن نقول لهم شكرا.

من القلب شكرا لكل وافد جاء أو عاش في هذا البلد حتى ولو لم يفعل سوى أن دق مسمارا في لوحة إرشادية على جانب طريق مظلم.

LONDON: Fuelled by soaring oil prices, Kuwait has ambitious plans to invest $132 billion building a model city in its northern desert, complete with rail links to the rest of the Middle East, central Asia and China.

The high-concept project may seem outlandish on one level, but Kuwait’s leadership is committed to the plan, according to one of the project’s originators, who argues that it could bring unprecedented political and economic gains to the region, including establishing better business ties with Israel.

We are not dreamers at all when we talk about investing $132 billion,” said Sami Alfaraj, president of the Kuwait Center for Strategic Studies and an adviser to the Gulf Cooperation Council, a group of six mostly oil-rich Gulf states. “We’re thinking on a different plane because we cannot afford to think like everyone else. We’re thinking about something that might seem unimaginable,” he told Reuters in London, where he is holding meetings on the project. “We’re going to outmanoeuvre everybody who is going to remain in the old mode of thinking about economic prospects.

London-based architects Eric R Kuhne & Associates have drawn up designs for the project, to be called Madinat Al-Hareer or Silk City, which would include a 1,000-m high skyscraper. The city, set for completion in 2023, would be home to around 700,000 people and linked to the capital, Kuwait City, by a dedicated mega-causeway. But more importantly, it would also be linked to the rest of the Middle East, Europe and far-flung corners of the world by rail, principally as a trade route.

It is the official policy of the state of Kuwait to build this city and to link it to Damascus, to Baghdad, to Iran and all the way beyond. This is where we want to put our money. We want to build railways all the way to China,” said Alfaraj, who also advises the government on security issues. “We hold the keys to a lot of things, but it’s not just money. For small states like us, the important thing is not oil, it’s not money, it’s influence. If we do not use oil or money to increase our influence in a peaceful way, we have no existence.

While Silk City and its rail links – dubbed a modern-day Silk Road – may seem dreamy to the point of unimaginable, Alfaraj says talks have been taking place with Iran since 1998 and with other countries on an intermittent basis for years. At a time when Kuwait, with the world’s fifth-largest proven oil reserves and among the top oil exporters, is sitting on massive petroleum profits, the funding is already in place.

But aside from that, it is the regional economic and social gains, including potentially closer, deeper ties with Israel and the Palestinians, that Alfaraj emphasizes. Most Muslim states won’t do business with Israel, but Alfaraj says such thinking is now outdated, particularly as Israel forges ahead as a global technology leader. “People in the Gulf are smart enough to understand the impact of technology on their development and they know that the technology is in Israel,” he said.

Russia and China have signed common trade zone agreements with the GCC – which groups Kuwait, Saudia Arabia, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar – and such closer ties with Israel, among others, are not out of the question. “If you look at the taboos of yesterday, they don’t exist,” he said. But Gulf Arab countries are unlikely to lift a boycott of Israel unless a comprehensive peace deal is reached between Israel and the Palestinians. “Such a peace deal remains some way off, but Alfaraj suggested attitudes were changing.” “The people on the surface still listen to Al Jazeera, still listen to the same jargon, but you have to think differently because things are different,” Alfaraj said. “We are erecting a different Kuwait.” – Reuters
